Hello Divas,

As a little girl Titanic was the first movie I have ever watched in a theater. Coming from a small town it was a big deal for me and it happens to be a fond memory. Rose Dawson was the charecter played by Kate Winslet whom I consider the epitome of feminism and beauty. A lipstick named after that iconic character of Rose Dawson was sure inviting. I am reviewing SUGAR Matte as Hell Crayon Lipstick – 05 Rose Dawson with a child-like excitement and it also happens to be my first Sugar Lipstick Crayon. Read more to know all about this baby!

What Sugar Claims about this product:

Super long-lasting and highly pigmented so you don’t have to worry about constant re-application, this must-have crayon lipstick has a soft texture with a silky matte finish.

My take on SUGAR Matte as Hell Crayon Lipstick – 05 Rose Dawson

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black matte chubby pencil with a black cap. The external cardboard box packaging is very classy and ingredients of the lipstick are listed on it. The pencil has to be sharpened and I received a free sharpener with the lipstick. However, it pains me to think that this gorgeous color will be wasted away while sharpening.

Consistency: This lipstick has a creamy consistency which does not tug on dry lips. The formula is nourishing/soft and gives a barely there feel on lips. The matte formula is evident with no sheen.

Pigmentation:Though Sugar’s Rose Dawson shade does not cover my lips with one swipe, I love the color which is built up after a few swipes. I will say the pigmentation is fair and does well on heavily pigmented lips like mine.

The name of the product is so apt and the rosy pink colour has become my favourite. I have worn it to office, day outs and evenings as well. It is easily the best matte lipstick I have ever used as the colour stays put for 6+ hours till I eat something really oily. What amazes about this shade is it looks different indoors and outdoors.

The lipstick transfers a little but nothing which cannot be controlled my blotting. Initially I thought that this product comes under my spend day bucket, but after using for 3 weeks I can vouch for the quality and I will say that it goes towards premium budget kitty. Adding to the pros, I feel this shade will look flattering on all skin tones. Sugar has nailed the quality of lipsticks and this one does some serious bench marking for Matte lipsticks. My selfies are worth sharing while I am wearing this gorgeous shade.
