How are you all? This is my first beauty post for B&TS and I started with a review of my all time favorite MAC Retro Ruby Woo Lipstick. If lipsticks were famous monuments I think this one will be a TajMahal; not that it is white but this red beauty makes me fall in love with it over and over again.
This happens to be my first dark shade lipstick and it has broken my myth that bold colors is not my cup of tea.Read on to know how I loved it and rocked wearing it. This is for splurge days and worth every penny.
Inspired by Ruby Woo’s overwhelming popularity and one-of-a-kind texture, M•A•C introduces new bold shades in its Retro Matte finish. Eye-catching colours like Dangerous and All Fired Up create a look that’s fiercely feminine. M•A•C also premieres Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in a vibrant colour palette, giving this long-lasting and transfer-proof lip pencil an exhilarating makeover.

My Take on MAC Retro Ruby Woo Lipstick :
‘MAC Retro Ruby Woo’ comes in a classic MAC black packaging. The lipstick cap is click fit which makes the packaging is travel friendly. The lipstick has a pleasant fragrance which fades away after application. However, this lipstick is very drying on the lips. It makes lips extremely dry and gliding through the lips is tough even if you do not moisturise well. I don’t use a balm before applying it as it kills the perfect matte pout effect. I love the fact that it is absolute matte with no sheen.
This gorgeous red colour with blue base absolutely covers my pigmented lips with one stroke. The best part of this lipstick is that it instantly brightens my face after application and hides flaws .
It survives light meals and clings to my lips for around 5-6 hours. But it does fade unevenly once I ate a full meal. Even if it is matte lipstick it gives a fuller appearance to lips. I just can’t stop pouting once I wear it.
