What Lakme Claims about Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color:
Lakmé’s first ever lip color in a mousse texture is super weightless and can be used as a cheek tint too. Available in 10 intense and vibrant shades, they last long and have a powdery matte finish. It’s 2 in 2 formula makes it an instant everyday favorite for the modern Indian woman of today.
My Take on Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Pink Plush Shade:
Packaging: Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color comes in a sleek brownish-pink tube and a rose gold cap. The pear shaped applicator attached to the cap is extremely easy to use and reaches well to the corners of lips.
Outer packaging is identical to the 9 to 5 Weightless lipstick range which is classy. There is no colour indication, but the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube and on the cardboard packaging.
Consistency: The consistency of Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color is soft and glides pretty easily on my lips. Once applied it takes about a minute to settle into complete matte texture and gives a barely there feeling. The formula is hydrating and does not give a dry feeling on lips.
Pigmentation: Having tried most shades on my lips for this range, I can easily vouch for their brilliant pigmentation. This lip cream covers my naturally dark lips perfectly.
Pink Plush is a neon coral pink shade. Being a lighter shade in this category, I feared it will not do that well on my lips, but I was wrong. 1 swipe and lo; my pigmented lips turned pretty. This colour suits my medium to dusky skin tone. However, I think it will look better on olive or fair skin toned girls. It is a versatile shade and will work for days and evenings, something which will brighten a gloomy day. It transfers a bit and lasts easily up to 4 hours on my lips without eating a full meal. While fading away this shade leaves a natural pink tint on my lips. I can easily remove it using a mild cleanser.Ideally, Pink Plush is a very young girl shade; I mean 20 something girls or college going girls will rock this one. It can also be a Friday lip-colour for office. This shade pops my lips out, so to avoid a stark look I mostly see myself wearing it with a little Kajal on eyes or with nude eyes.
As a blush I tried applying 3 dots on my cheeks, and the coverage is pretty sweet (I did not photograph the blush part of it though) . I will avoid using both the lip cream and blush together. The reason being the neon pink shade will make my face too pink for my liking.
